Why and how did pollination-by-deceit evolve? It is a difficult question. Now, I want to find other solutions to solve this question, so I ask when and where some species lost edible reward. Is this a right question?
In orchids, when and where did some species or subfamilies lost their nectar? Because the pollen grains in Orchidaceae are aggregated into pollinia which can't be consumed by insects. Therefore the answer to the question when orchid evolved deception can change to when orchids lost their nectar. 再别康橋

(6 November 1928)  An old Chinese idiom says "南橘北枳“, means orange is good in Southern China, but if you move orange trees to North, its fruits become hard and no taste at all. Why? Because environment changes. Kudzu is a good plant in China, maybe you have watched "One bite in China", I can't remember which season, but I remember in one place in Guangdong Province, they cook roots of Kudzu with pork, it looks like really good. However, good guy Kudzu becomes a bad boy in North America.
